Records Clerk – Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth – Preeminent full-service Orange County law firm is seeking a Records Clerk with responsibilities to include providing records department support for the entire firm. Primary focus and responsibility includes but is not limited to the following job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Timely processing of conflicts request; Search firm’s database and secondary sources for conflict of interest; Assign new client-matter numbers; Close matters; Update and maintain firm’s conflicts and records database; Assist with Ethical walls and waivers; Assist with auditing new client-matter information for accuracy; Maintain new matter files, including collecting and storing all engagement letters, waiver letters and ethical wall screens; Create, index, update and maintain client files and inserts; Coordinate offsite storage; Coordinate file destruction in accordance with firm’s records retention policy; Interact with the Firm’s attorneys and staff regarding conflicts and records management issues; Miscellaneous projects as assigned by the Records Department Manager; Ability to lift 25-30 pounds.

Experience and Education

Minimum two years prior law firm experience and a high school diploma required.

ARMA International Education Monitor Policy

If you are planning on attending the ARMA National Conference, here is an opportunity to offset the costs. 

Name of Scholarship:  ARMA International Education Monitor Scholarship

Purpose:  To assist ARMA International staff in managing education programs at the Annual Conference & Expo while cooperatively providing members with complementary registration to Conference and Expo.

Scope:  The Education Monitors will be selected from each Region. The number of monitors from each region will be dependent upon the number of monitors required which is established by the ARMA International Education Department in advance of the call for applications.

Administration:  ARMA International Member Services Department will coordinate the applications through Region Leaders. All approved applications will be reviewed by both the Member Services and Education Departments.

Requirements:  To apply, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Are in need of financial assistance to attend the Annual Conference. This could include, but not limited to, your employer has cut travel, loss of job, etc. 
  • Have contributed to your local chapter throughout the current year.

Application Procedures:  All applications will be submitted to your Chapter President. The Chapter President will review all applicants from the chapter, comment on each, and forward them on to the respective Region Manager. If more applications are received than the number allotted, the Region Manager will submit recommendations with applications to the ARMA International Member Services Department for review and selection. If open positions remain, once the selection is complete, the reaming applicants will be considered. International Chapters should submit their applications directly to the ARMA International Member Services Department.

  • Application must be received by ARMA International Member Services Department by April 30.
  • The Member Services and Education Departments will make final selections based on application and recommendations.
  • Applicants will be notified of ARMA International’s decision no later than June 1.

Roles and Responsibilities of ARMA International Education Monitors:

  1. In exchange for a complimentary registration, Education Monitors are assigned to work one and a half days during Conference and Expo. This allows for attendance to the general sessions, one and a half days of education, and time to visit the Expo. Education monitors have one and a half days without work requirements.
  2. Education Monitors work and monitor only one room or location each day. This allows the monitor to be familiar with one location, reducing problems that might occur throughout the day.
  3. Education Monitors are assigned as room monitors or floaters (hall monitor/assistant).
